Acupuncture    Herbal Medicine    Supplements

What Should I Expect During My First Visit?

The visit begins with a 15-20 minute interview about your health concerns, including a pulse and tongue diagnosis. Your treatment takes place on a comfortable massage table, where a few thin, sterile, disposable needles are inserted. You rest for about 30 minutes. Treatment is gentle and unrushed in a peaceful setting.

How Can Herbs Help?

Before recommending an herbal formula and/or supplements for you, the practitioner will review all medications, herbs, and supplements you are currently taking.

Herbs can be used to strengthen the body, support the immune system and decrease the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. Specific herbs can be used to suppress the cancer and promote healthy cell activity. Herbs are used as adjunctive treatment together with, but not in place of, conventional medicine.

The practitioner can discuss possible side effects or potential herb/drug interactions.
